Three of us visited this establishment today and all of us were very happy with the quality of the burgers we received as well as the courteous and friendly service provided by Jordan today! She was amazing and went out of her way to answer any of our questions. We had heard mixed reviews about this restaurant and were very happy to experience it for ourselves. We surely will return another time in the future! Thanks Jordan and the entire staff for taking care of us today!
From service to ambiance to the food itself, Higher Ground has mastered it all. Absolutely worth the drive from wherever you may be coming from (Savannah, GA for our little family). My boyfriend and I both went with the char-cheese burgers (essentially a classic burger with cheese, tomato, onion, pickle, and lettuce). Both burgers were cooked to our liking and to perfection per our standard. Be aware though, these burgers are BIG! One thing Higher Ground doesn't do is skimp on the portion sizes (prices are super reasonable too!).
Stopped in right when we got to town and so glad we did. They had a long wait but they got us in faster than anticipated. We had some apps and got a burger. It was delicious. I think they were understaffed but they were making it work as best as they could.

Best place to get a burger in the area! Owner is doing 3 things of note: 1) hires plenty of young energetic staff to ensure both in-house and Togo orders are served promptly 2) cool atmosphere both inside and outside 3) test dishes on the chalkboard to ensure something new/different is available
First time at Higher Ground Char House. The service was super on a busy day. My Char Burger and Cheese was outstanding. First time impressions were great. Would like to go back there in future to try other menu items. My waitress was new, but has a great personality and outlook. When I was leaving I ask how long she been there which she replied 3 days and wishing me a happy remaining of my day. I also every employees work together as a team It was a little Cheers, by become a regular everyone will know your name
Best burgers in South Carolina, great wings, best onion rings ANYWHERE! Service is great. We were lucky to have ABBY as our server. Sweet, professional, and fun ... she made the trip worthwhile. ASK FOR ABBY!
Food is always consistently good. Staff is always friendly! I love their peanut butter pie, if we are lucky I get it before it sells out! It's a nice casual vibe.
What's not to love. This place has tons of outside parking, lots of different seating options from booths to patio seating to tables. Thier wall art is amazing. It is customized images of thier menu items made into movie and advertisment posters. Very clever! I think the men's golf cleaner image across from the bathrooms is a personal fav. The staff has always been amazing. Huge menu with lots of burger options. I had the slider set last time and it was perfect. I got a little of everything I wanted. Service is also very fast for the food being so fresh. It's not a cheap burger place but you do get the feeling that you are supporting american and local south carolinians when you choose this place. That to me is priceless! #charon
Cute spot in Chapin that hit the spot on a Friday night. We had the Fern Gully, Hot Mess and Totes Ma Goats. The burgers were all good but would've been better with a different bun. It tasted a bit stale which was a let down. However the flavors of our burgers made up for it. The fries were fresh and the beer selection was decent. Overall I would say this place is between 3.5 and 4 stars.
